Black-Out thermoplastic polyurethane films prevent light from shining through sun shades, roller blinds, curtains and projection screens. The flexible multilayer film is laminated to the textiles resulting in opaque laminates. The TPU films allow lower-gauge and leighter-weight structures to be produced to meet the specific requirements of various applications.

The key benefits are easier handling and economically efficient further processing. Reducing this to a single-pass laminating operation considerably shortens the overall production time compared to coated Black-Out-systems.

Platilon® Films with water vapour barrier provide medical gel cushions with soft touch, resist high differences in temperature and keep the gel in cushion. They are printable, HF-weldable and free of plasticizers. The typical application fields are medical gel cushions, cold-/ heat compresses, hospital bed linen and blankets.

For ballons or inflatable products multilayer Platilon® films with integrated gas barrier are applied. The films stand out due to their high mechanical strength and longevity. Further applications are inflatable tents or biogas plants.
