Using the brand name Dureflex, our US partner company Deerfield Urethane offers high performance polyurethane films for safety glasses. Benefit: aliphatic TPU films are yellow-free and permanently transparent.

Using thermoplastic polyurethane films it is possible to glue together different types of materials to produce new compound materials, e.g. plastic, paper and metal for multi-layer-structures. When used e.g. for RFID applications (passport systems and ID cards), special properties such as good compound adhesion and high flexibility provide protection for sensitive connections.

TPU films are the most important components for membrane packaging; they are located on the upper side of two shells. Polyester urethane films are extremely elastic and flexible, but at the same time stable and temperature-resistant. The packaged goods are thus well protected against shock and other mechanical impacts.

Shot-proof vests must be able to absorb large amount of impact energy. Polyurethane films provide vital protection against fatal injuries.
