As aliphatic TPU films are yellow-free and permanently transparent they are ideally suited for safety glass applications. Using the brand name Dureflex, our US partner company Bayer MaterialScience LLC produces aromatic and aliphatic polyurethane films.

Features

Aliphatic TPU films have an embossed surface, i.e. they are coarse on one side. This is why, in combination with glass, they are used to produce extremely stable and shot-proof safety glass. The coarse surface facilitates the vacuum process.
